How Meiji Jingu Stadium brought in-seat ordering to fans with meny go
Meiji Jingu Stadium introduced meny go, a QR-code mobile ordering system, so baseball fans can order food and drinks from their seats — no app, no queue. Orders route straight to the kitchen and are delivered to the seat, keeping fans in the game while opening a new sales channel during play.
The challenge
At a packed stadium, concession stands and food trucks sit far from the seats, so fans must leave during the game to order and wait — missing key plays. Queues concentrate at peak moments, overloading staff, and once play begins many fans stop ordering, costing the venue sales.
The solution
With meny go, fans scan a QR code at their seat and order and pay on their own phone — no app, no staff needed. Orders route instantly to the kitchen and to delivery staff, items are brought to the seat, and everything is multilingual with integrated online payment and real-time status tracking.
Implementation
meny go ran as a season-long proof of concept at Meiji Jingu Stadium across the 2025 season (March–September, 74 home games). Fans order via QR codes at their seats on their own phones; orders route to food trucks and are delivered by riders.
The results
In its first season at Meiji Jingu Stadium (March–September 2025, 74 games), meny go processed 2,974 orders and generated ¥8.95M in total earnings — ¥6.66M in food & drink plus ¥2.29M in delivery fees. Monthly orders grew from 19 in March to a peak of 862 in August, averaging about 40 orders and ¥108,135 per game. Most tellingly, 72% of orders were placed at or after the first pitch, proving fans order during the game — a window traditional concessions barely captured.
